Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to read "My Thanks"
Think of all the connections you've made over the years...
And the good they've brought to your life.
Today marks a day to give thanks.
It’s no longer a day to commemorate the events of the 17th century
But a day we reflect on all that has happened to us
and how the people we love whether related by blood or not have helped us reach to present day.
Of course we can’t forget our past as it is part of who we are today.
Sure our past if full of negative events but today is about the good events.
A day to thank all those that have sacrificed themselves to build this country.
This includes everyone of every race because if you truly look through our history,
Every group of life from all around the world has had some contribution in the building of our country.
Our country is all about the mixing of the different races hence the Melting Pot or rather Mosaic.
As we are one under this Star Spangled Banner are we also individuals sharing our unique cultures with one another.
The “United” in United States is not just about a bunch of states under one government.
It’s about the people that make up this great country of ours.
It’s about how through all of our differences we come together for the same purpose and to continue on the pursuit of a greater world.
No doubt we still have a long way but we have come quite far and we can be thankful for that.
